I'm not sure if you have noticed this. But there is an abundance (okay, three that I can think of) characters named Chuck on the Fall 2007 television schedule. In no particular order, they are:
Chuck - the Kelsey Grammar character from "Back To You"
Chuck - the title character in "Chuck"
Chuck - the female sidekick in "Pushing Daisies"
Oh and let's back up a minute and briefly remember this Chuck
So what is it with the fascination of the name Chuck this year? Do ABC, NBC and FOX have spies and one of the networks decided to name their character Chuck and the other network spies reported back to the president of the network. The network president then thought, "My Goodness! What a brilliant name! C-H-U-C-K. So simple yet elegant, complex yet demure. We HAVE TO HAVE THAT NAME! Stop production on one of our new series and change everything. I have to have a CHUCK on our network...OKAY PEOPLE, GO!"
And as a side note...have you noticed that the leading characters from Chuck and Pushing Daisies both have that handsome yet dorky quality that John Krasinski (Jim Haplert from The Office) has?
Be original people!
